THE FORMATION OF THE THERMAL WATERS

Who cares about the chaotic pace of life when there is beauty in the world? The beneficial properties of Ischia’s thermal waters, modified and enriched in the earth’s wonderful underground laboratory, are acknowledged by the national Board of Health.
Our pools and baths are replenished with water at hot (hyperthermal) temperature extracted from the underground aquifer. The origin and formation cycle is fascinating. For decades seawater and rain seep deep into the soil, flowing through the cracks and fissures of the green tuff, clay and other typologies of volcanic deposits, until they form aquifers inside layers of compact soil. Here, the water acquires its special characteristics and high temperature coming in contact with the magmatic body that lies in the heart of the Green Isle. Thus the thermal waters, the raw material of treatments and wellness, are a product of nature that comes to us with perfect properties and ancient purity.
