Our cuisine: fresh and genuine ingredients
A buffet laden with savoury appetizers and a multitude of vegetable dishes is just the start of a menu based entirely on prime local materials, a cuisine of Ischian dishes prepared from fresh produce.
The queen of first courses is our pasta, prepared with Maronti’s own tomatoes, fresh vegetables of the season, fish and, naturally, the classic sauces. Second courses are based on fish, accompanied by vegetables or prepared to traditional recipes, with just the occasional hint of something less conventional.
And, to finish, a choice of cheeses, fresh fruit and desserts prepared by the chef.
For over fourty years, on a own plot of land owned nearby Maronti beach, the Iacono family running the hotel has grown the key products of the Neapolitan culinary tradition, such as tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines and potatoes.
All vegetables are grown without any pesticide. This means that the products of the land are delivered every day fresh and rich in vitamins to the hotel kitchen, ready to be quickly transformed into tasty dishes.
Thanks to this “zero footprint” sustainable approach, our guests have the opportunity to enjoy the true taste of local cuisine, and especially the products of Ischia’s countryside. The Maronti area is particularly well known for the intense taste of its products,e nhanced by the nature of the soil and a slow ripening in the sun.
